Cambridge Exams certificate ceremony
For some time now, Maristes Girona has been an official test centre for Cambridge English Qualifications. They are in-depth exams that make learning English enjoyable, effective and rewarding.
Young Learners (YLE) tests at Primary school age introduce students to everyday written and spoken English. At Secondary school age, Advanced (C1), First (B2), Preliminary (B1) and Key (A2) are recognised around the world by thousands of employers, universities and government ministries as proof of ability to use English.
Last June a total of 58 students took their Cambridge exam here at the school. Thanks to their hard work, along with the support of their families and teachers, all these students achieved certification for their corresponding level of English.
On the 24th of October, a representative from external examining body “Exàmens Girona”, Mary Jane Pratt, came to the school to hand out the official certificates to our students.
Next summer there will be another opportunity to take one of the exams, so during the Easter term the English Department will be carefully assessing the level of each student. So well done to all our hard-working students who passed their exam, and we look forward to enrolling more candidates in 2023!

Des de fa temps, Maristes Girona és un centre oficial de proves de “Cambridge English Qualifications”. Són exàmens externs que fan que l'aprenentatge de l'anglès sigui efectiu i gratificant.
Les proves de Young Learners of English (YLE) en edat de primària introdueixen els estudiants a l'anglès oral i escrit quotidià. A l'edat de l'escola secundària, els nivells Advanced (C1), First (B2), Preliminary (B1) i Key (A2) són reconeguts arreu del món per milers d'empresaris, universitats i ministeris del govern com a prova de la capacitat d'utilitzar l'anglès.
El juny passat un total de 58 estudiants van fer l'examen de Cambridge aquí a l'escola. Gràcies a l'esforç dels alumnes, juntament amb el suport de les seves famílies i professors. Tots aquests alumnes van aconseguir una certificació del nivell d'anglès corresponent.
El passat 24 d'octubre, una representant d’Exàmens Girona, Mary Jane Pratt, va venir a l'escola per lliurar els certificats oficials als nostres alumnes.
L'estiu vinent hi haurà una altra oportunitat per presentar-se a un dels exàmens, de manera que durant el trimestre de Setmana Santa el Departament d'anglès avaluarà el nivell de cada alumne i proposarà candidats.
